Maria and Cole Haan hosted an event in New York to celebrate the launch of her Fall 2011 collection by Cole Haan, guests had the first opportunity to preview her special edition Air Bacara Ballets as well as shop her Fall collection for the first time.
On September 8th, Cole Haan and design collaborator Maria Sharapova will be releasing two special edition Air Bacara Ballet Flats inspired from the colorways of Maria's 'day' and 'night' dresses created by Nike for this year's Flushing Meadows tournament in New York.
Crafted with style and innovation, the Air Bacara Ballets reflect Maria's love of fashion and sport. In keeping with Maria's belief that women needn't trade performance for style, the Air Bacara's sleek silhouette also utilizes Nike Air technology, along with rubber pod bottoms and elasticized topline construction to ensure that while you look good, you will also feel good.
The special edition Air Bacara Ballets will launch on September 8th at Cole Haan SoHo, and select other Cole Haan stores in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, and Merrick Park.
The Maria Sharapova by Cole Haan Fall 2011 Collection is now available at Cole Haan stores nationwide and colehaan.com.
Maria's dress was from Vera Wang's Fall 2011 collection and she wore ankle boots and clutch bag from Cole Haan. Maria was wearing Tiffany & Co. earrings.
