Kournikova and Agassi sitting pretty after being voted as world's sexiest tennis players in British poll
Russia's Anna Kournikova and American Andre Agassi were voted the sexiest female and male tennis players of all time in a recent survey in Britain conducted by Mivvi.
Kournikova, 28, is more famous for her beauty than her tennis skill. She began her WTA Tour career in 2003 and is now in semi-retirement.
She has not won a singles title on the Tour, she has claimed 16 WTA doubles titles including two Australian Open crowns.
Tennis' loss is the fashion industry's gain as she is now a successful model.
Coming in second in the women's category was fellow Russian Maria Sharapova.
Unlike Kournikova, Sharapova is a good tennis player having won three Grand Slam events.
Agassi's wife Steffi Graf of Germany was fourth behind Argentina's Gabriella Sabatini.
Both American sisters Serena and Venus Williams were in the top 10 Serena fifth and big sister Venus 10th.
Surprisingly Serbia's Ana Ivanovic, one of the most popular players, was ranked only eighth.
Among those sexy players who are popular in Thailand but failed to impress British fans are including Denmark's Caroline Wozniacki, Nocole Vaidisova of the Czech Republic, Russian Maria Kirilenko and Serbia's Jelena Jankovic.
Meanwhile, The Sun has picked the top 10 babes of Wimbledon with Sharapova topping the list.
"She's ranked 59th in the world and seeded 24 at Wimbledon but Russia's blonde goddess is still No 1 for tennis glamour," the paper said.
"Maria has won Wimbledon, the US Open, the Australian Open and the hearts of millions of males the world over, who wish her well in her comeback from a shoulder injury.
"Volunteers to give Maria a shoulder massage, please form a queue."
The others are, in order, second-ranked Ivanovic, Slovakia's Dominika Cibulkova, Kirilenko, Slovak Daniela Hantuchova, Vaidisova, Serena Williams, Jankovic, France's Marion Bartoli and Anne Keothavong of Britain.
In the Mivvi survey, Agassi fended off the likes of current top players Spain's Rafael Nadal and Swiss Roger Federer who were second and third respectively.
As the poll was conducted in Britain, it is not surprising that three of the top 10 are British _ Greg Rudedski (sixth), Tim Henman (eighth) and Andy Murray (ninth).
