Draw for Open GDF Suez Released

Maria's next tournament is the Open GDF Suez in Paris, France which begins on Monday. Maria is seeded No.2 and has a bye in the 1st round. In the 2nd round, Maria will play either Carla Suarez Navarro of Spain or Bethanie Mattek-Sands of the United States.

Maria has never played Suarez Navarro before and has played Mattek-Sands 5 times before and leads the series 5-0. The first seed Maria can meet is No.6 seed Andrea Petkovic of Germany in the quarters.

Paris is a Premier $618K event played indoors and this will be Maria's 1st appearance here.
