Maria Sharapova through to Western & Southern Open in Cincinnati's Third Round

2011 Wimbledon finalist, Maria Sharapova will be battling against Anastasia Rodionova

Maria defeated qualifier Anastasia Rodionova of Australia 6-1 6-3 in 71 minutes to advance to the third round of the Western & Southern Open in Cincinnati.

The first set was over in 25 minutes as Maria won it with a down-the-line forehand winner on set-point.

The second set was closer as Maria dropped her serve twice but managed to compensate by breaking Rodionova's serve three times.  Maria took the match when Rodionova hit a shot long.

On Thursday, Maria will play either No.14 seed Svetlana Kuznetsova of Russia or Petra Cetkovska of the Czech Republic.
