Sharapova has been through the best of women’s tennis and seems to be struggling tofind her top form. She made it to the quarterfinal of the Auckland tournament and withdrew from Paris in February due to illness. The Russian is still on her path of recovery and will be hoping to do good at this year’s US season. She is ranked at number 18 among the WTA rankings
Both the players have met two times before and the head-to-head stands at 1-1. The last time they met was in 2007 at Istanbul where Rezai won in two straight sets. The experienced Russian is known for her forehands and blistering backhands from the back of the court. Rezai on the other hand is known for her tactical backhands and strategic play.
