Maria Sharapova will face against Ekaterina Makarova in the Internazionali BNL d’Italia on Tuesday, as ATP World Tour Masters 1000 event played here in Rome.
World No. 8 ranked Sharapova started off well in this season with a quarterfinal spot of Auckland. She also entered into the semi-final spot at the Indiana Well and the final appearance at Miami. She lost to Dominika Cibulkova of Slovakia in the third round of the 2011 Mutua Madrid Open, as she is facing Ekaterina Makarova of Russia in the first of the Rome tournament.
The world No. 37 ranked Makarova had a slow start in this season with a first round loss at Sydney and then reached to the fourth round of the year’s first Grand Slam Australian Open. Makarova looking forward to victories in this Internazionali BNL d’Italia tournament to move her ATP Ranking up the order.
Both the players have meet in the second round of the Madrid Open 2011, where Maria Sharapova defeated Makarova in three tough sets. Sharapova came with massive forehands in the game. Sharapova is looking forward to win the match against Makarova in the first round of the Internazionali BNL d’Italia in Rome on Tuesday evening.
