Tiffany & Co. today announced that Maria will wear earrings by celebrated Tiffany designer Elsa Peretti at Roland Garros which runs from May 23 to June 6 in Paris.
Maria will wear earrings from the Elsa Peretti® mesh collection inspired by mesh jewelry and purses that were in vogue from 1900 through the 1920s. Crafted of 18 karat gold in an ultra-fine pattern of inter-linked rings and accented with cultured freshwater pearls, the earrings capture both the elegant simplicity of Elsa Peretti's jewelry and Maria's natural style.
"Elsa Peretti's jewelry is a joy to wear," Maria said. "Her mesh earrings have great length and movement, yet they're very lightweight. It will be a pleasure to wear them on the court."
The partnership between Maria and Tiffany & Co. covers the four Grand Slam events: the Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon and the US Open. During each event, the tennis champion wears earrings from Tiffany for Maria Sharapova, a select group of earrings that are available at Tiffany & Co. stores around the world.
