BANGKOK, 1 January 2010 (NNT) - Maria Sharapova and Venus Williams have arrived at Suvarnabhumi Airport this morning in preparation for the tennis match “Hua Hin Centennial Invitation” tomorrow.
Top women's tennis players, Maria Sharapova from Russia and Venus Williams from the United States, this morning arrived in Bangkok from Los Angeles and continued to Hua Hin, Prachuap Khiri Khan. Both are scheduled to play in the Hua Hin Centennial Invitation tournament which is organized to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Hua Hin district.
The tennis match will take place at the newly-built 5,000-seat Centennial Park Court at the Intercontinental Resort Hotel at 14.30 hrs tomorrow. After the singles match, Sharapova and Williams will play in a mixed doubles match at Muang Thong Thani stadium in Bangkok, pairing with Thailand's top players Danai Udomchoke and Paradon Srichaphant.
Venus admitted she was excited to come back to Thailand where she had once visited two years ago.
The tickets for the Hua Hin Centennial Invitation match are being sold at Intercontinental Resort Hua Hin.
