Maria will be facing the biggest test of her comeback on Wednesday at Roland Garros. Maria will be playing #11 seed Nadia Petrova of Russia on Court Suzanne Lenglen.
After Maria's 1st round match, she talked about the match-up: "I've had pretty good success againsther. I haven't seen her recently,especially in the last year or so, so I don't really know how she's playing,but I think my coach watched a little bit of her match, and I'm sure I'll get a few pointers. She has a very aggressive serve. She plays a pretty big game. You know, I'm just excited that I gave myself another opportunity to play tomorrow -- not tomorrow, but the day after."
They have played 6 times before and Maria leads the series 5-1. Maria won the last match in Linz at the end of 2006, and they have never played on clay.
The match is the 3rd match on Court Suzanne Lenglen, and the schedule of play begins at 11.00CET (5.00ET & 2.00PT).
