Finished all my sponsor commitments last night and now I am in "lock down" mode. It's always great to be in NY, I have grown to love this city more and more every year. Now I have to run to get ready for practice.

Cole Haan celebrated the launch of international tennis champion Maria Sharapova's fall 2010 collection at The New Museum in New York City. Fashion photographer and blogger, Todd Selby, co-hosted the event and was joined by creative tastemakers. Guests had the opportunity to participate in a silent auction of signed prints by Todd Selby and enjoy music spun by fall 2010 ad campaign talent DJ Lindsey Caldwell.

| Us Open 2010 Draw Released |

The draw for the 4th and final Grand Slam of the year at the US Open in New York has been released and Maria is the No.14 seed and will play Jarmila Groth of Australia in the 1st round. In official competition they have played before at Los Angeles last year on hardcourts and Maria won 6-0 6-4. This match will be played on Monday or Tuesday.
If Maria can win that match she will play either Iveta Benesova of the Czech Republic or a qualifier in the 2nd round. The first seed Maria can meet is #18 seed Aravane Rezai of France in the 3rd round. In the 4th round, Maria is scheduled to meet top seed Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark in the 4th round. |
