| Maria Sharapova to lead Russian challenge in Fed Cup 2011 against France |

MOSCOW - Russian Fed Cup Lawn-Tennis Federation skipper Shamil Tarpishchev announced on Tuesday names of tennis players who would be part of the Russia’s national team to play France in the opening round of next year's Fed Cup on February 5-6.
“Sharapova has agreed to play the first round,” Shamil Tarpishchev, president of the Russian Tennis Federation and their Fed Cup captain, told reporters.
“She is now fully recovered from the problems with her shoulder and again could challenge for the number one spot.” |

My interview with Masha Sharapova in the December issue of Instyle
It was urgent, and wildly secret mission.
I got a call from Instyle and offered to make of the cover interview for the New Year rates - with a kind of "Russian-American tennis player." Maria Sharapova the beautiful Russian tennis player is engaged to Los Angeles Lakers basketball player Sasha Vujacic, of Slovenia as has been confirmed to CNBC.
Sasha Vujacic is a sports star in his own right, as he is playing basketball for the Los Angeles Lakers said he’s engaged to marry Russian tennis star Maria Sharapova.
Sasha popped the question to the 23-year-old tennis superstar on Tuesday night at his Manhattan Beach, Calif. home. |
