Tramlines doesn't pretend to know its Gucci from it's Prada but when it comes to recognising it's Adidas from its Nike, TL is unrivalled.
And yet TL was forced to raise an eyebrow when Maria Sharapova revealed that her dress this year is inspired by the Eiffel Tower?
As nice a dress as it is, and considerably better than the creations Venus Williams was sporting in Australia earlier this year, TL just can't see it. See what you think.
And with Kim Clijsters uncharacteristically crashing out of the French Open in the second round on day five, Tramlines was left wondering what could have provoked such a thing.
The world number two was clearly off her game in the third set of her shock loss to Aranxta Rus on day five of the tournament.
Not wanting to take away from the young Dutchwoman, who did well to capitalise on her opponent's meltdown, Clijsters had the match wrapped up whilst leading 6-3 5-2 and with match points in hand.
With the Belgian herself insisting that the defeat had nothing to do with the ankle injury that has kept her out of the game since Miami, TL was left looking for reasons as to what prompted the complete loss in concentration.
And we think we've found it. Her shirt.
Clijsters pink shirt is so bright, that even sat in a windowless office, TL was forced to put on a pair of sunglasses.
Is it possible that Clijsters could have caught a glimpse of her reflection and have completely lost her place? It's as good an explanation as anything else offered so far as to the Belgian's complete capitulation.
The most ridiculous story of the day comes courtesy of the mixed doubles.
Former world number one, and two-times Grand Slam champion, Amelie Mauresmo had been granted a wildcard to play at Roland Garros in the mixed doubles alongside sometime charge Michael Llodra.
On the day that the tournament got underway, however, came the news that she was not allowed to take part because she is no longer registered on the anti-doping programme.
Mauresmo retired in 2009 and, presumably not anticipating a comeback of any kind stopped taking part in the anti-doping checks.
Fair enough. Who wants to pee in a cup when you don't have to?
"The pair Amelie Mauresmo/Michael Llodra, who had benefitted from a wildcard for the mixed doubles, are ineligible for the event," organisers said in a statement.
"Indeed, Amelie Mauresmo, who retired in 2009, had at the time withdrawn from the anti-doping programme. But to take part in an official event, one must be registered in the programme for at least three months."
Surely it would have been worth someone checking this before offering the French duo a place in the draw?

TWEET OF THE DAY: "The girl sharapova is playing is going to be number one in the world one day caroline garcia, what a player u heard it here first." While not disputing the content of Andy Murray's tweet, the timing seemed to be suspect as the French 17-year-old prompted lost 11 straight games in her eventual defeat to Maria Sharapova.
SHOT OF THE DAY: Nothing needs to be said about this freakish shot from Clijsters. Just watch the video below!
