Maria met one of her biggest fans at the Rogers Cup in Toronto this week. Nine-year-old Kristen Borland is an up and coming tennis player and uses the same racquet as Maria.
Kristen is being featured on CityNews "Athlete of the Week" sports segment which follows her journey to meet Maria.
On Facebook, Maria says about meeting Kristen: "The only positive thing about Toronto was I met a new friend!!"
