Warsaw Draw 2009 Released!

The draw for Maria's comeback tournament at the Warsaw Open in Warsaw, Poland has been released and Maria is unseeded and will play Tathiana Garbin of Italy in the 1st round.  Maria has played the Italian once before at the Australian Open in 2007 and she won 6-3 6-1.

In the 2nd round, Maria could play either #1 seed Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark or a qualifier.

Maria has been off the tour since August 2008 because of a shoulder injury but she did make a brief appearance in the doubles event at Indian Wells in March.  Maria's last singles match was a win over Marta Domachowska in Montreal.

Warsaw is a Premier 600K event played on red clay and is an event that Maria has never played before and Maria is defending no points this week.
